These seemingly abstracts of color splashed across a canvas are actually photographs taken while driving across the country back and forth to transport my daughter to catch the bus.

I was frustrated at the time because I could not afford the time to stop and take photographs of my favorite time of year, Fall, because of mounting pressures.

I thought the least that could be done would be to take sweeping snapshots of the color, to at least capture this as the pictures would be blurry anyway, I might as well exaggerate it. This would be indicative of our culture that pushes us to go so fast that we can't linger to smell the roses or simply enjoy the panorama of nature as we sweep by.

The other title I considered giving to the series was 'Bleeding Colors' to reflect how indeed they did look this way too, and paralleled the distress inside that I felt at not being able to stop and focus on this moment of beauty.

Some are of the whole sweep captured, and others I broke into three separate panels. I thought this would make a catching display for home or office.
